Job summary

Emerge in Dover, NJ is seeking an HR Generalist to provide HR operational support for a multishift manufacturing group of approximately 900 non-union employees. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, employee relations, benefits compliance, and performance management to ensure smooth HR operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR/recruiting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, psychology, or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Excellent computer skills – MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding: drafting job descriptions, posting openings, conducting interviews, and onboarding.
• Manages the HRIS system including onboarding for new hires, promotions, terminations.
• Employee relations: addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, supporting managers with performance improvement plans, maintaining a positive workplace culture.
• Prepares and extends offer letters for all non-agency hires.
• Maintains list of sign-on-bonuses and payment dates.
• Manage and participate in job/career fairs including college recruitment efforts.
• Assists employees applying for all internal job postings.
• Support all other HR initiatives as needed.
• Perform other assignments as required.
