Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with manufacturing leadership, drive workforce effectiveness, and manage employee relations. The role balances day-to-day HR support with proactive initiatives that improve retention, safety culture, and employee experience.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 3–5 years HR experience, with strong knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and recruiting.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EHS and Operations teams to champion a strong safety culture.
• Serve as the primary HR partner for employees and supervisors across multiple departments and shifts.
• Execute talent initiatives including recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, high-performance culture rooted in collaboration and accountability.
• Facilitate onboarding programs to accelerate integration and productivity.
• Promote positive associate relations by resolving concerns and providing excellent service.
• Investigate concerns, policy violations, complaints, and conflicts in a fair, timely manner.
• Coach managers on performance management, development, corrective actions, and accountability.
• Conduct stay interviews and analyze turnover to drive retention strategies.
• Support compensation initiatives including market analysis and planning.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and policy interpretation across the organization.
• Assist in policy development, communication, and enforcement.
• Identify staffing needs and develop action plans for those needs.
• Prepare reports on turnover, absenteeism, staffing, engagement, training, and demographics.
• Use data to develop recommendations to improve workforce effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Leaves & Accommodations on FMLA, ADA, and other leaves.
