Job summary

Specialty Hose Corporation in North Canton, Ohio, seeks a Manufacturing Hose Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble hoses, follow blueprints, cut materials to length, run tests, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. The role requires basic math, blueprint reading, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with attention to detail and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• 12 months or more of assembly and/or general labor experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a tape measure and calipers.
• Basic skills required to accurately read blueprints and work orders.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Responsibility and great attendance history are mandatory.
• Must be able to pass drug screening test
• Must be able to pass background check

Responsibilities

• Operates all equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment, including compliance with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
• Follows specifications or procedures for hose assemblies using blueprints, work instructions and fabrication knowledge.
• Pulls inventory from warehouse.
• Cuts appropriate hose material to length using powered saws and other tools.
• Conducts tests and inspections of products to evaluate quality and tolerance.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Willingness to cross-train and perform work of other job tasks when necessary.

We have hoses in decompression chambers at the bottom of the ocean and hoses that control the environmental system on the International Space Station and just about everywhere in between.
