Job summary

Exotic Automation & Supply in Michigan is seeking hands-on assemblers to build and test hose, tube, valve and panel assemblies. You will follow drawings and work instructions, ensure quality, and maintain accurate build records.

Training on equipment and processes is provided, and occasional customer-site support may be required. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test high- and low-pressure hose assemblies to customer specifications.
• Fabricate custom bent tube assemblies, including bending, end forming, and testing (training provided).
• Build valve stack assemblies using technical drawings and work instructions.
• Construct custom panel assemblies with valves, gauges, tubing, and regulators.
• Assemble custom extruded aluminum structures and convert concepts into finished assemblies.
• Turn customer concepts and designs into working assemblies.

Job description

You will own your builds from start to finish and make sure every assembly meets spec before it leaves the building. You do not need to know every product on day one. We will train you on our equipment, processes, and work instructions. If you have some assembly or shop experience, a mechanical mind, and pride in quality work, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Assembly & Fabrication

• Assemble and test high- and low-pressure hose assemblies to customer specifications
• Fabricate custom bent tube assemblies, including bending, end forming, and testing (training provided)
• Build valve stack assemblies using technical drawings and work instructions
• Construct custom panel assemblies with valves, gauges, tubing, and regulators
• Assemble custom extruded aluminum structures
• Turn customer concepts and designs into finished, working assemblies

Quality & Documentation

• Inspect your assemblies for quality and completeness before they ship
• Test assemblies to confirm they meet required specifications and safety standards
• Keep accurate build records and complete job orders

Safety & Work Area

• Keep your work area clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and daily assignments

Additional Responsibilities

• Occasionally visit customer sites to support our sales team
• Help train and onboard new team members as needed
