Job summary

Exotic Automation & Supply Inc. in New Hudson, MI is seeking an assembler/fabricator to own builds from start to finish with training provided. You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure assemblies meet spec before shipping. This hands-on role emphasizes quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop environment.

Experience in assembly or metal fabrication is preferred; you will support sales on-site occasionally and help onboard new team members as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test hose assemblies to customer specifications.
• Fabricate custom bent tube assemblies, including bending, end forming, and testing (training provided).
• Build valve stack assemblies using technical drawings and work instructions.
• Construct custom panel assemblies with valves, gauges, tubing, and regulators.
• Assemble custom extruded aluminum structures.
• Turn customer concepts and designs into finished, working assemblies.
• Inspect assemblies for quality and completeness before they ship.
• Test assemblies to meet required specifications and safety standards.
• Keep accurate build records and complete job orders.
• Occasionally visit customer sites to support our sales team.
• Help train and onboard new team members as needed.

Job description

You will own your builds from start to finish and make sure every assembly meets spec before it leaves the building. You do not need to know every product on day one. We will train you on our equipment, processes, and work instructions. If you have some assembly or shop experience, a mechanical mind, and pride in quality work, we would like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Assembly & Fabrication

• Assemble and test high- and low-pressure hose assemblies to customer specifications
• Fabricate custom bent tube assemblies, including bending, end forming, and testing (training provided)
• Build valve stack assemblies using technical drawings and work instructions
• Construct custom panel assemblies with valves, gauges, tubing, and regulators
• Assemble custom extruded aluminum structures
• Turn customer concepts and designs into finished, working assemblies

Quality & Documentation

• Inspect your assemblies for quality and completeness before they ship
• Test assemblies to confirm they meet required specifications and safety standards
