Job summary

Fortem Technologies in Lindon, Utah, seeks a Director of Manufacturing to lead day-to-day operations across multiple product lines. You will drive production execution, inventory control, warehouse operations, and manufacturing systems while improving throughput, lead times, and safety and quality.

This leader partners with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management to resolve constraints and scale operations for growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in manufacturing/operations with at least 5 in leadership.
• Experience leading multi-product line hardware/technical manufacturing.
• Experience overseeing inventory control, warehouse ops, and material flow.
• Proven results improving throughput, schedule attainment, productivity, and lead times.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP, work-order control, inventory transactions, and manufacturing reporting.
• Experience developing production leaders during organizational growth.
• Lean manufacturing, capacity planning, root-cause problem-solving, and quality improvement.
• Strong financial and analytical skills including labor planning, budgeting, cost analysis, and productivity measurement.
• Ability to resolve competing priorities and collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations, business, or related field, or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Translate delivery requirements into coordinated production plans, staffing, and targets.
• Own schedule attainment and throughput; lead reviews and recovery actions.
• Lead improvements reducing bottlenecks, WIP delays, material shortages, and rework.
• Monitor safety, quality, delivery, throughput, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, and lead time; verify sustained results.
• Establish and achieve measurable manufacturing performance targets using data-driven reviews.
