Job summary

General Motors Manufacturing Group is seeking qualified individuals for current and future Group Leader opportunities in Production, Quality, or Global Supply Chain. You will lead teams to drive operational excellence, manage daily operations, and improve business processes with a focus on safety, people, and quality.

Roles require strong supervisory experience, problem solving, and collaboration. You will oversee production activities, quality inspections, and Built-in-Quality initiatives,

Qualifications

• One year of direct supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
• Experience managing, leading people, and addressing performance concerns.
• Experience solving complex problems and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, experience managing conflict, and decision making.
• Demonstrate a high analytical ability to solve complex problems.
• Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, typing, email etc.)
• Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts.
• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond promptly to the manufacturing daily plan, making necessary adjustments to operations as required
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Possess the experience to manage change and navigate ambiguity
• Drive accountability through people and processes which may require difficult conversations
