Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Ashburn, VA. This contract role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and inventory costing in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant experience, a solid understanding of US GAAP, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Onsite work 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience with inventory and COGS.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP.
• Perform GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle intercompany transactions across entities.
• Support inventory accounting, COGS analysis and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to report production costs and inventory.
