Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, and accurate reporting of production costs and inventory levels.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP.
  • Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle intercompany transactions across entities.
  • Support inventory accounting including COGS analysis and cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing/ops to report production costs and inventory levels.
  • Assist audits with required documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal controls.
