Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Ashburn, VA. You will manage month-end close, post journal entries, and ensure GAAP compliance in a manufacturing environment.

The role involves intercompany reconciliations, inventory costing, and collaborating with operations to report production costs, with onsite work three days per week and a W2 rate of $40–$50 per hour.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities.
• Support inventory accounting, COGS analysis, and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/operations on production cost reporting.
• Assist in audits by providing documentation and support.
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls.
