Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a General Ledger Accountant in Ashburn, VA. This contract role requires strong GAAP knowledge, month-end close, journal entries, and intercompany reconciliations for a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will contribute to inventory accounting, cost analysis, and internal controls while partnering with operations to ensure accurate reporting. Onsite work three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform GL reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle intercompany transactions across entities.
• Support inventory accounting and COGS analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to report production costs.
• Assist in audits and improve internal controls.
