Job summary

Uncommon Elite in West Tennessee seeks a General Manager to own and run a small manufacturing business—a true player-coach role with hands-on leadership on the shop floor.

You’ll oversee people, production, purchasing, quality, equipment, customers, and the P&L, driving improvements across operations and delivering reliable, on-time results. Willing to relocate/commute to Jackson/Bradford, TN; base salary $150k–$175k plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a manufacturing operation.
• P&L or full cost accountability.
• Strong operational and project management ability.
• Hands-on purchasing and vendor management experience.
• Comfortable in a smaller company where you have to wear multiple hats.
• Direct leadership style with the ability to set expectations and hold people accountable.
• Willing to relocate to or commute to the Jackson / Bradford, TN area.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and hold the team accountable.
• Own the P&L and overall performance of the business.
• Drive production, throughput, scheduling, and on-time delivery.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee purchasing, vendors, inventory, and supply chain.
• Own quality, safety, and equipment reliability.
• Work directly with key customers and support commercial growth.
• Build better systems, processes, and operating rhythms.
• Lead from the floor—not from behind a desk.
