Job summary

Ascendo Resources is helping a small, family-owned manufacturing client find a Full Charge Bookkeeper to support leadership with day-to-day accounting and financial needs.

This hands-on role covers daily bookkeeping (AP/AR, cash receipts, disbursements, bank reconciliations), general ledger, monthly statements, payroll, and year-end reporting. Costing and inventory support for manufacturing are included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting in a small business or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Solid understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping including AP, AR, cash receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records and filings.
• Monitor customer accounts, issue invoices, and follow up on receivables.
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and vendor records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support inventory, job costing, and manufacturing accounting activities.
• Prepare information for CPA, tax filings, and year-end reporting.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist management with analysis.
