Job summary

Pacific Executive Search is seeking a hands-on Controller for a manufacturing company in the West Denver area. You will oversee the full accounting cycle, lead a small team, and partner with senior management on budgeting, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and expertise with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution with inventory management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, SAP Business One preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to lead a small accounting team and manage multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements for multiple entities.
• Partner with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Oversee working capital components such as cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
• Implement and enhance internal controls and compliance procedures for audit readiness.
• Supervise and mentor a small accounting team.
• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and supply chain to analyze variances and production efficiencies.
• Lead or support finance system enhancements, reporting automation, and special projects.
