Job summary

You will lead accounting staff, ensure accuracy of journal entries, and drive process improvements to support timely, reliable financial information.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with focus on accounting and/or finance.
• Five years managing financial/accounting department.
• Three years experience in manufacturing related environment. Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems.
• Preferred: CPA, experience in corrugated industry, cash management, good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall operation of accounting, including financial reports and budget.
• Oversight, management, and evaluation of accounting staff (including payroll administrator). Assure that accounting personnel are properly trained, motivated, and directed to fulfill their responsibilities.
• Review all journal entries for financial statements
• Analysis of financial statements and preparation of special reports
• Review accounts payables and receivables for accuracy
• Evaluate credit applications and oversee collection efforts.
• Maintain insurance records (property, casualty, fleet, workers comp, etc.) and provide information to obtain insurance quotes.
• Prepare government and regulatory tax filings.
• Direct company’s annual audit.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
