Job summary

Danone Mt Crawford in Virginia is seeking a Financial Analyst to focus on raw material accounting, loss and labor variance, inventory control, fixed assets, and controllable cost management within a continuous improvement manufacturing environment. You will support the month-end close with variance analysis and forecasts, reporting to the Plant Controller.

The role requires collaboration with multiple plant departments, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and strong data extraction from SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 2+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment; or 5–7 years in a manufacturing finance role with budgeting/analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

• Input/learn/report weekly KPIs and ensure accuracy; communicate impact to the business.
• Track operations productivity projects, execution, and financial impact.
• Analyze data, identify variances, and benchmark across locations.
• Perform plant cost accounting with emphasis on month end close, material loss, and labor variance analysis; report to HQ and local management.
• Assist in plant budgets and forecasts; support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review monthly reconciliations for corporate consolidation.
