Job summary

International Paper in Richmond, VA is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide accounting and analytical support to maximize the plant's financial return. The role reports to the Controller and involves budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and performance analysis to guide management decisions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years in manufacturing finance, and familiarity with cost accounting, internal controls, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business or related field required; CPA or CMA a plus.
• 3+ years of accounting and/or finance experience; manufacturing facility highly desirable.
• Corrugated, printing, packaging and/or related finance experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and analytical support and analyze performance to maximize financial return.
• Assist Controller with budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and reporting.
• Develop and refine processes to improve accounting efficiency and documentation.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policy, and procedures.
