International Paper is seeking a Financial Analyst II for our Olympia, WA location. The role provides accounting and analytical support, partnering with the Controller to analyze performance, budgeting, forecasting, and initiatives to improve financial results.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance, including manufacturing finance, and CPA/CMA qualifications are a plus. The position involves preparing journals, close activities, and ongoing internal control enhancements, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business or related field required; CPA or CMA a plus.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in corrugated, printing, packaging or related finance in manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence peers and management.
• Strong communication with business leaders at various levels and functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and analytical support for the Olympia, WA location and contribute to maximizing financial return.
• Support Controller with preparation and analysis of operational results, trends, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects.
• Develop and refine processes to improve accounting efficiency and documentation.
• Participate in region-wide projects and assist other plants as needed.
• Assist Controller in maintaining internal controls, policies, and procedures.
