Job summary

Sherpa is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client’s Lancaster facility. This role will link finance, senior management, and production while supporting accounting in a fast-paced wholesale distribution and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, variance analyses, and cost tracking within ERP systems. Balance sheet accuracy and cross-functional collaboration are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or wholesale distribution.
• Strong Excel skills with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/QuickBooks/Sage) and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports.
• Track manufacturing costs and maintain inventory valuations and costing within ERP.
• Ensure data integrity; troubleshoot GL and system issues; improve accounting processes.
