Job summary

Bradford Soap Works Inc in West Warwick, RI seeks a Facilities Manager to lead a unionized maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable operation of the facility, equipment, and utilities. The role reports to the COO/EVP of Operations and balances day‑to‑day reliability with long‑term capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent combination).
• 5–10 years of facilities or maintenance experience in manufacturing, including supervision.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., consumer products, food, pharmaceutical).
• Experience leading employees in a unionized environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance team across shifts.
• Administer the collective bargaining agreement for maintenance staff; coordinate with HR on attendance and discipline.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, CMMS/work-order system, and maintenance history records.
• Manage spare parts, budget, and energy management; support capital projects.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, safety programs, and site code compliance.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality on start-ups, line changes, and audits.
