Job summary

MAHLE in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous Improvement Leader to drive process improvements and operational excellence across plant operations. You will lead cross-functional teams, apply Lean and Six Sigma tools, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in development, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Basic PLC programming knowledge; robot programming preferred.
• Strong knowledge of machine vision systems (Keyence, Cognex).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, JIT, OEE, and Kaizen.
• Proven ability to lead cost-effective manufacturing improvements.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word; CAD; Power BI is a plus.
• Document engineering changes and adhere to change-management protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups focused on continuous improvements and provide technical expertise for process problems.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Process Planning to meet objectives.
• Troubleshoot equipment and defects; implement corrective actions quickly.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production standards.
• Design and optimize layouts, material flow, and workstation ergonomics.
• Lead cost-reduction and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Create PFMEAs, Process Flow Diagrams, and Standardized Work documentation.
• Support capital expenditure planning and capability studies.
• Analyze production data and address quality, safety, and efficiency concerns.
