Job summary

MAHLE Thermal and Filter Systems US is seeking a Production Manager to lead safety, production, and quality across assigned manufacturing areas in Murfreesboro, TN. You will oversee supervisors and hourly teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure customer requirements for delivery, cost, and quality are met.

The role emphasizes leadership of supervisors, adherence to IATF 16949, and effective labor and capacity planning in a high-volume automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline preferred.
• Approximately 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, depending on plant size and responsibility.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Prior leadership experience managing supervisors and hourly employees.
• Experience operating in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safety-first culture across all shifts and ensure compliance with OSHA/EHS policies.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and monitor delivery against customer requirements.
• Manage manpower, machine capacity, overtime, and shift coverage; respond to interruptions and bottlenecks.
• Drive compliance with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and standardized work; partner with Quality for defects.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles; identify recurring problems and eliminate root causes.
