Job summary

CertainTeed’s Peachtree City plant seeks an Operations Manager to oversee production and maintenance, driving safety, quality, and cost efficiency. You will lead budgeting, planning, and capital initiatives while mentoring floor supervisors and aligning actions with the Plant Manager.

Ideal candidates bring a mechanical/industrial engineering background, 6–8 years in manufacturing management, and strong Six Sigma/Lean TPM expertise in a large site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 6–8 years manufacturing management experience.
• Experience in Production Control or Quality Assurance.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma, TPM and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Strong written and oral communication; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and maintenance to meet schedules and cost targets.
• Prepare and control departmental budgets and capital needs.
• Provide leadership in safety, 5S, housekeeping, quality and cost reduction.
• Develop floor supervision and promote positive labor relations.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager on strategic plans and capital expenditures.
