Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Sector, ARS Division, in Lincoln, IL, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements on Residential & Wiring Devices lines at our onsite facility. You will apply manufacturing and industrial engineering best practices to improve manufacturability, workflows, and training while supporting operational excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
One year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Knowledge of fabrication and/or assembly processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

Recommend product design changes to improve manufacturability and workflow.
Assist product development with new concepts and lead manufacturing portion of development.
Ensure safety reviews are completed for processes and equipment changes.
Design training aids and procedures for manufacturing processes.
Analyze discrepant parts using 8D, PFMEA, and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Establish methods for production, including standard work, cycle time, takt time, and ergonomics.
Support cost reduction and capital equipment projects to improve capabilities.
Fill in for supervisor during vacations or overtime.
Support Value Stream Teams to achieve business case.
