Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector, ARS Division, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Lincoln, IL facility. This onsite role supports Residential & Wiring Devices and drives operational excellence.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates currently residing within the United States. We look for candidates who can lead process improvements, improve manufacturability, and increase efficiency across the floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Relocation assistance available for qualified US residents.
• Lean Six Sigma certification and/or experience implementing lean processes.
• One year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Recommends product design changes for manufacturability and workflow.
• Assists development staff and leads manufacturing portion of product development.
• Ensures safety reviews are completed for processes and changes.
• Designs training aids and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes discrepant parts and uses 8D/PFMEA for root cause actions.
• Establishes methods for production including standard work and takt time.
• Participates in cost reduction projects and equipment improvement.
• Supports value stream teams to achieve business cases.

Skills

One year engineering experience

Fabrication/assembly knowledge

Lean Six Sigma certification

Education
