Job summary
AISIN Electronics IL is seeking a Production Engineer to provide technical leadership in manufacturing, focusing on reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and supporting new equipment and product launches. This role drives continuous improvement, ensures safety and quality compliance, and collaborates across departments to meet production and cost reduction goals.
The position requires knowledge of electronic automotive manufacturing, TPS/JIT, and strong communication; willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor of science or engineering degree with accreditation.
- Experience in manufacturing environments and familiarity with OEM practices.
- Knowledge of safety and quality systems in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead reduction of unplanned downtime for mass production and new equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement for mass production and new equipment.
- Assess feasibility of design changes and new designs for manufacturing.
- Implement engineering changes and maintain up-to-date drawings.
- Lead cost reduction and waste reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate equipment installation and process preparation for launches.
- Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and meeting production targets.
