Qualifications

• 1 year experience as First Solar Manufacturing Engineering Technician I or 3 years First Solar Technical experience or 10 years technical experience in a Manufacturing setting
• 1 year as First Solar Manufacturing Engineering Technician I or 2 years First Solar Technical Experience or at least 3 years technical experience in a Manufacturing setting
• Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 year technical experience in a Manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
• Provide organization and time-management; assist in solving production equipment problems.
• Review data related to daily tool performance and participate in factory performance meetings.
• Communicate with production associates, engineers and vendors to complete projects.
• Demonstrate understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems.
• Train production staff on operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop work instructions and update internal documentation.
• Coordinate downtime requests, warranties, and upgrades with facilities and vendors.
• Support global deposition equipment and participate in cross-site meetings.
• Troubleshoot intermittent or long-term issues to reduce downtime.
• Plan, oversee, and execute installations of approved engineering changes.
