Qualifications

• Associates degree in technical discipline is required.
• 2+ years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary function.
• One year of First Solar technical experience is required.
• Six months’ experience as Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar.
• Safety first mindset and clear written/oral English communication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform administrative and technical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
• Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Set up and maintain gauges.
• Ensure all processes run on target as per the Process Control Plan.
• Respond to SPC process control alarms and restore control.
• Execute planned process experiments and analyze results.
• Collect data on daily tool performance and product performance.
• Provide training to production associates.
• Develop and update internal documentation including drawings and SOPs.
• Interface with internal associates and supplier reps to complete projects.
• Develop understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems.
• Maintain effective communication with production associates and manufacturing engineers.
• Disposition non-conforming product (NCP) according to criteria.
• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
