Job summary

Honda is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in Lincoln, NE to lead innovative technical activities in mass production, drive improvements, and meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree, up to 6 years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 0-6 years’ experience depending on education; manufacturing co-op experience is a plus.
• Computer literate to support industry standard software applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
• Willingness to travel 5% (domestic & international).

Responsibilities

• Communicate up and down to ensure common understanding and direction.
• Analyze daily reports to identify safety, quality, delivery gaps and countermeasures.
• Use data analysis and PDCA to lead and justify solutions.
• Monitor equipment and processes to optimize performance and cost.
• Develop self and team through training and mentoring.
• Set priorities and make data‑driven decisions.
• Manage project implementation, schedule, budget and resources.
• Test and implement new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Develop and manage investment and expense budgets.
