Job summary

Eaton in South Milwaukee, WI is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for 1st shift. The role supports manufacturing engineers, drives continuous improvement, and maintains standard work documentation. You will lead Kaizen events and help implement lean initiatives in the plant.

The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, and benefits starting day one. You will engage in 5S+ activities and cross-functional projects to improve production, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation offered; within 50-mile radius preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing engineers and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain standard work documentation and manufacturing methods.
• Lead Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events and drive lean changes.
• Create and maintain process documentation (MMs and VOPs).
• Assist with tooling improvements, safety and quality actions, and action items.
• Challenge daily production issues and propose long-term improvements.
• Conduct 5S+ audits and implement visual controls across the plant.
• Assist in cross-functional problem solving and Tier 2 issue escalation.
