Our client is an electronics manufacturer. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join their team. This role is a CONTRACT TO HIRE position. Position will be ONSITE. Candidate must be able to commute onsite to San Francisco, CA.

**Contract to Hire after 6 months**

**$35 - $45/hr**

**Applicable job titles for this role are either Manufacturing Engineering Technician OR Manufacturing Process Technician**

Position Summary:

Manufacturing Engineering Technicians / Manufacturing Process Technicians combine knowledge of mechanical assembly and test to support Process Engineers and Production. They support process documentation, track issues, and provide general process support to computer-controlled electro-mechanical systems, such as robotic assembly machines, automated adhesive dispense and cure, laser, pattern recognition and active alignment, in both a R/D and Volume Manufacturing environment. This position will be reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Position will be supporting Engineering, New Product Introduction, and Production requirements. Occasional assembly line support. Some domestic or international travel is required.

Position Requirements:

• Experience with writing/revising work instruction/SOPs
• Fast learner to be able to operate all manufacturing stations/equipment
• Assisting engineers to provide hands on training to production personnel regarding existing and newly developed equipment
• Assisting engineers to carry out engineering experiments/ DOEs per engineering instruction and document results
• Assisting engineers to carry out qualification of new and existing equipment (GR&R, repeatability study)
• Familiar with Windows operating system, and some basic skills with Linux OS
• Able to track/log issues including feedback from production
• Basic troubleshooting skills of assembly and test stations
• Microsoft Office, and Flowchart software experience
• Below skills are plus, but not required
• Basic JMP analysis
• Experience with JIRA software
• Basic understanding of python/reading error/minor edits
• Basic knowledge of high precision electro-mechanical-optical assembly and test including active and passive alignment preferred
• Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills in English
• Minimum of 3 years industry experience, Lidar Sensor experience preferred but not required
• Be able to stand for long periods of time
• Lift and carry 35 lbs
• Follow all Safety and Laser Safety procedures and requirements
