Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Anaheim, CA, seeks a Specialist – Manufacturing Engineering to support operations in designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes for electromechanical products. You will lead process development, documentation, and continuous improvement projects with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 4 years of related experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering; or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with manufacturing cables/harnesses, magnetics, electro/mechanical sub-assemblies, and systems.
• Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and PLM applications such as Agile.
• Multiple years in a manufacturing engineering environment with process improvement and project management.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of manufacturing processes for functionality and cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Use statistical process controls to analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability at the highest standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Analyze existing processes to identify improvements in scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align operational plans with business needs.
• Provide technical support to production, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
• Train staff on manufacturing best practices and process improvements.
• Conduct cost‑benefit analyses and prepare cost estimates for improvements.
