Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer in Canoga Park, CA. The role focuses on mechanical component manufacture, assembly, and integration for rocket engine and power systems products.

Responsibilities include planning layouts, improving processes, and applyingLean and continuous‑improvement tools. The position requires a Bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience and offers deep involvement in CAD/PLM workflows, GD&T, and TPM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience; master’s preferred or 10+ years alternative.
• Experience in manufacturing processes, Kaizen, VSM, and lean tooling is valued.
• Ability to analyze and improve complex manufacturing scenarios while coordinating with engineering and production.

Responsibilities

• Lead process certification and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Define tooling requirements and determine machine loading and setups.
• Support welding processes for complex configurations and maintain dimensional requirements.
• Utilize Creo CAD, Windchill PLM, and Oracle ERP/MES to manage design changes and BOMs.
• Develop and apply GD&T for machining and metrology to meet specs.
• Travel as required and pursue security clearance as necessary.
