Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years' experience in a related area; supervisory experience preferred
• AutoCAD experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal standards and regulations plus internal codes.
• Provide technical evaluation for systems to ensure compliance with standards.
• Develop project plans with budgets and schedules to meet requirements.
• Manage capital expenditures and monitor project costs against budgets.

Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager

WHAT WE NEED:

• We are looking for someone who will be responsible for providing support and assistance to its Manufacturing Plant, developing and implementing plans for major capital improvements, continuous improvement projects, and maintenance projects in the manufacturing process. Responsibilities will also include assistance in the development and implementation of SOPs for preventative and predictive maintenance. This position provides project management for multidisciplinary engineering functions in the areas of operating budgets, measurement and control of project performance against goals regarding capacity, efficiency, quality, and safety for capital and maintenance projects. The position provides guidance for compliance with all applicable regulations of the Regulatory Government Agencies. Acts as a resource for designing and installing new/enhanced systems

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Ensure manufacturing project engineering designs comply with codes, standards, and regulations for Local, State and Federal Regulating Authorities, along with Zurich
• Provide technical engineering evaluation and verification for Steam, Natural Gas, Potable Water, Liquid Propane, Chilled Water and Compressed Air Systems to ensure compliance with National Engineering Standards
• Provide engineered solutions and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing and support equipment issues for production facilities within the Area of Responsibility
• Manage all capital expenditures associated with assigned projects and maintain project costs within approved budgets
• Develop project plans to include budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements
• Prioritize multiple schedules and project deliverables through consensus building and cooperation
• Engages with the Corporate Engineering group, utilizing Central Engineering resources when applicable
• Continuously analyzes costs and develops cost reduction plans for capital improvements and maintenance projects; provides support to facility managers in the implementation of cost reduction initiatives as needed
• Identifies resources required for assigned projects and prepares business justification for senior management approval
• Develop and maintain complete project documentation, including equipment manuals, SOPs, training materials, electrical and mechanical drawings, spare parts lists, validation records, and project closeout documentation
• Monitors and reports performance of the manufacturing project (capital improvement or maintenance) to ensure that all contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
• Provides project status updates, capital spending reports, and milestone reviews to plant leadership and key project stakeholders
• Identify and implement new technologies, equipment, and manufacturing methods that improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance
• Performs other duties as required

WHAT YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' experience in a related area; preferred to have three or more years of supervisory experience
• Prior experience in a Manager Engineering Services role preferred
• Prior experience working with or supporting custom manufacturing equipment
• AutoCAD experience preferred
