Job summary

Johnson & Johnson’s MedTech surgery team in San Jose seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Systems, Electronics & Test Fixtures to lead a team of engineers and contribute as an individual contributor on complex electronics and electromechanical fixtures.

Based in San Jose, CA, you will drive manufacturing deliverables across NPI, sustaining programs, validation, and production support, while upholding quality, regulatory, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of relevant professional experience.
2+ years leading teams.
Experience in manufacturing, systems, or electrical engineering roles.
Strong background in electronics, PCBA, and test equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, prioritization, and team development.
Drive accountability around ownership, communication, documentation quality, and execution.
Balance workload across team members and align resources to priorities.
Lead design and manufacturing of PCB/PCBA, fixtures, and test equipment.
Ensure manufacturability, serviceability, safety, and reliability in fixtures.
