Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Robotics & Digital Solutions is recruiting a Staff Supplier Engineer for Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on designing, developing and validating manufacturing solutions for direct material components and assemblies, ensuring robust scale-up for long-term production.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams and may mentor junior engineers while advancing the next generation of robotic and digital solutions for medical devices.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a regulated industry (medical device preferred).
• Experience with component/assembly manufacturing process development and validation.
• Understanding of GD&T is required.
• Experience with supplier management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver development, characterization, and validation of plastics components and sub-assembly processes at suppliers.
• Lead scale-up of supplier manufacturing processes to production quantities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing, product performance and cost.
• Apply engineering principles and Six Sigma/Lean methods to solve complex technical challenges.
• Drive suppliers to meet manufacturing and development requirements.
