Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Payload Accommodations on the Florida Space Coast. This on-site role leads a team of Manufacturing Engineers, guiding design-for-manufacture and hands-on problem solving across fabrication and integration of spaceflight hardware.

You will develop manufacturing plans, mentor engineers, manage work orders, and partner with program managers to meet design, build, and test objectives in a fast-paced facilities environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace engineering from an accredited university; MS preferred.
• 7+ years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience leading teams and managing projects or programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of high‑impact Manufacturing Engineers and set goals.
• Mentor engineers, define roles, and drive career development.
• Coordinate with program managers to meet design, build, and test objectives.
• Apply DFMA and PFMEA to strengthen feedback loops between design, build, and test.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing BOMs and product structure.
• Oversee manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with company standards.
