Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager 1 for the Rolling Meadows, IL site to lead day-to-day operations in the Material Evaluation Lab and guide the test/measurement equipment tracking team.

You will partner with production, process, and engineering to drive performance, establish KPIs, and develop improvement plans while managing capital budgets and workforce performance. Strong communication and Lean/CI experience are essential, and U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in production assembly/fabrication.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Material Evaluation Lab and test equipment tracking.
• Prioritize, assign, and track requests with data-driven reporting.
• Set work priorities based on program and business needs.
• Lead a diverse team of engineers and technicians with regular feedback.
• Communicate status to executives and stakeholders.
• Develop capital equipment roadmaps and operating budgets.
