Trelleborg Medical Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join the Delano team. The role involves overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, ensuring product functionality and cost efficiency, and leading manufacturing and process engineering teams.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• 4-year degree in Engineering
• 7 years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Engineering
• Understanding of ISO9001 or 13485 standards

Desired:

• Previous supervisory experience
• Experience in tool design/modifications
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Training
• Experience with clean room manufacturing, medical manufacturing, and/or injection molding

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate new business opportunities, assess manufacturing risks, and provide solutions in collaboration with Product Line Managers and Estimators
• Monitor plant capacity and implement solutions with leadership approval
• Design and optimize lean manufacturing cells using effective systems and simulation tools
• Assist in developing plant layouts for better space utilization
• Collaborate with product development, quality, and maintenance teams to prevent issues
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
• Stay informed on new manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Support new product launches
• Identify and eliminate root causes of manufacturing issues
• Mentor and coach manufacturing engineers and staff
• Maintain documentation related to training and work instructions
• Lead capacity expansion and process improvement projects
• Contribute to cost reduction through re-engineering efforts
