Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead engineering, maintenance and facilities at the Middletown site. You will drive reliability, implement capital projects, and advance a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, Lean principles, and strong collaboration with site leadership to meet strategic priorities and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering and manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience supporting engineering operations within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital projects, maintenance operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience in paper, pulp, or similar process manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using SAP.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering and maintenance teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with site leadership to support business priorities and operational excellence.
• Oversee capital projects from concept through implementation, managing scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Direct preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and uptime.
• Identify and implement technologies and processes to boost manufacturing performance.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and CI initiatives focused on quality, productivity and cost.
