Actalent in Newton, NC seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, drive capital expenditure planning, standardize processes, and support program launches. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Commercial teams to ensure capacity, throughput, and quality targets are met across the plant.

This role requires 8+ years in manufacturing engineering leadership, hands-on APQP/PFMEA, and knowledge of Industry 4.0.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering leadership, preferably automotive.
• Experience with capex planning, tracking, and project management.
• Strong experience in automotive manufacturing and program launches.
• Hands-on experience with APQP, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Knowledge of automation, robotics, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing performance.
• Strong analytical skills for capacity analysis, demand/capacity planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Commercial, Purchasing, and Maintenance.
• Willingness to travel up to ~25%.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first-level daily leadership to a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with divisional standards.
• Benchmark manufacturing processes with other sites and standardize best practices.
• Manage and lead capex requirements and track spending against budgets.
• Plan, track, and report capex status, phasing, and variances to stakeholders.
• Ensure equipment and spare parts meet divisional specs, safety standards, and business needs.
• Keep manufacturing systems compliant and aligned with organizational requirements.
• Maintain core process compliance for key site processes (e.g., hardening, welding, assembly).
• Lead CI initiatives to improve productivity and performance metrics.
• Consolidate budgets and provide plant-level demand/capacity visibility for five years.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Commercial to execute SIOP and MPS for capacity management.
• Lead facilities maintenance to align with industrialization strategies.
• Support NBA with process cost and tooling cost estimates.
• Drive VA/VE activities to reduce cost and improve value.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and associate involvement.
• Ensure documentation and compliance across the engineering team.
