Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in automotive (Tier 1 preferred).
- Experience leading a team of engineers.
- Hands-on knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing simulation tools.
- Working knowledge of automation, robotics, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technical staff
- Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Design, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, and cost
- Lead manufacturing engineering for new product launches and engineering changes
- Own APQP deliverables, including PFMEA, control plans, and process flow diagrams
- Specify, source, install, validate, and commission equipment, tooling, and automation
- Advance automation, robotics, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 solutions in assembly
- Partner with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance on launches, reliability, and defect reduction
- Track and improve OEE, cycle time, throughput, scrap, and related metrics
- Support IATF 16949 / ISO compliance, audits, and corrective action
