Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Leader to guide a team of engineers, drive APQP deliverables, and advance automation initiatives. You will design and optimize processes for quality, efficiency, and cost, while leading launches and engineering changes.

The role emphasizes a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, with metrics like OEE and cycle time guiding daily work. A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in automotive manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in automotive (Tier 1 preferred).
• Experience leading a team of engineers.
• Hands-on knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Proficiency with CAD and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Working knowledge of automation, robotics, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technical staff
• Build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Design, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes for quality, efficiency, and cost
• Lead manufacturing engineering for new product launches and engineering changes
• Own APQP deliverables, including PFMEA, control plans, and process flow diagrams
• Specify, source, install, validate, and commission equipment, tooling, and automation
• Advance automation, robotics, PLCs, and Industry 4.0 solutions in assembly
• Partner with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance on launches, reliability, and defect reduction
• Track and improve OEE, cycle time, throughput, scrap, and related metrics
• Support IATF 16949 / ISO compliance, audits, and corrective action
