Job summary

Divergent in Los Angeles is seeking a senior manufacturing leader to guide the integration of cutting-edge production methods across the DAPS architecture. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to drive design-for-manufacturing, process development, and production readiness.

With 8+ years in manufacturing engineering and strong CAD/GD&T skills, you will collaborate across design, quality, and production to deliver high-reliability systems for aerospace and defense.

Qualifications

• U.S. export controls-compliant access to information and technology.
• Bachelor’s in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• 3+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing engineering.
• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, aerospace/defense exposure.
• CAD software (Siemens NX, AutoCAD) with GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
• Hands-on with additive manufacturing, robotics, and automation.
• Led complex projects from concept to production with high-performance materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team for DFM, process development, and advanced methods.
• Oversee requirements, process specs, and root-cause investigations for reliability.
• Set priorities, track projects, and mentor engineers toward milestones.
• Develop manufacturing process qualification, production scalability, and automation approaches.
• Implement strategies in machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, joining, coatings.
• Identify and deploy new manufacturing technologies to improve quality and throughput.
• Collaborate with design, materials, quality, and production teams on readiness.
