Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to own end-to-end manufacturing of multiple products from concept through production using DAPS. You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize processes for high reliability, and drive rapid iteration and DFM integration to meet aggressive timelines.

The role emphasizes governance of quality systems, manufacturing documentation, and technical leadership to deliver scalable, high-performance hardware for aerospace/defense markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Significant exposure to aerospace or defense industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Siemens NX, AutoCAD) and GD&T.
• Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing techniques including additive manufacturing, robotics, or automation.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing of multiple development and production products.
• Serve as technical lead for all manufacturing processes.
• Develop, implement, and refine scalable manufacturing processes.
• Drive yield, cycle time, and first-pass quality improvements.
• Identify automation opportunities to streamline workflows and data collection.
• Lead new concepts and product designs through factory with rapid iteration.
• Implement DFM strategies early in design and introduce new equipment and processes.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and ensure AS9100 compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing staff and lead cross-functional teams.
