Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to guide a team of engineers, own product-line performance, and collaborate across Operations, Quality, Programs, and Engineering.

You will advance manufacturability and reliability within DoD and ITAR-restricted programs, while leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen capabilities and meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical/Manufacturing discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, product, or project engineering experience.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar operational excellence methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, coaching and guiding them.
• Own technical performance of assigned product lines across lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on engineering support needs.
• Drive problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Promote Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in new product development decisions.
• Support risk assessments, design reviews, and technical investigations.
• Support Lean initiatives, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
