Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge design and production, optimizing manufacturability for high-reliability hardware in aerospace/defense. The role guides concepts through prototyping, enables rapid iteration, and matures designs into production to meet Divergent's high standards.

You will own end-to-end manufacturing for multiple products, lead cross-functional teams, drive data-driven improvements, implement DFMs, and ensure AS9100-compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Significant exposure to aerospace or defense industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, AutoCAD) and GD&T understanding.
• Experience with MES, PLM, and ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing, robotics, or automation.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects for high-performance, high-reliability apps.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end manufacturing ownership of multiple development and production products.
• Technical lead for all manufacturing processes.
• Develop, implement, and refine scalable manufacturing processes.
• Drive improvements in yield, cycle times, and first-pass quality.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Lead new concepts and product designs through the factory with rapid iteration.
• Implement Design for Manufacturability strategies early in design processes.
• Develop manufacturing documentation and ensure AS9100 compliance.
• Lead cross-functional product/program teams and mentor staff.
