Job summary

Sub‑Zero Group, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to oversee a small team and stay hands-on with engineering projects. The role drives manufacturing processes from early concept through production launch, and ensures quality, efficiency, cost, and capacity targets are met.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field and 7–10 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, with leadership ability and strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of manufacturing engineers while engaging in engineering project work.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products from concept through production launch.
• Define process flow, labor, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and capacity to meet targets.
• Provide input through design reviews, PFMEA, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, prototype builds.
• Design and develop assembly fixtures and tooling for new processes.
• Define equipment requirements and manage capital projects from concept to installation.
• Plan prototype and pre-production builds and drive improvements from results.
• Develop project plans and manage deliverables, risks, and schedules for product launch.
• Collaborate with product engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, and suppliers to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
• Develop process documentation and work with production teams to implement and improve processes.
