Job summary

Modine, a global leader in thermal management, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize production processes across multiple lines. You will mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and partner with design, operations, and quality teams to scale manufacturing and reduce costs.

The role requires 5–7+ years of experience, expertise in Lean and Six Sigma, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
• Proven success leading complex process improvements.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.
• Strong data-analysis using Excel, Minitab, or simulation software.
• Experience with high-complexity NPI and DFx initiatives.
• Root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
• Business acumen with capital justifications and cost-reduction strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise or multi-line manufacturing process development and standardization.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.
• Support complex new product introductions by establishing manufacturing readiness, tooling, and process validation plans.
• Analyze production data, identify systemic issues, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Design and optimize production layouts, material flow strategies, and automation integration.
• Evaluate capital equipment investments through cost-benefit and ROI analyses.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting critical production issues.
• Establish standardized work, control plans, and process documentation across manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and operations leadership to improve throughput and reliability.
• Mentor Manufacturing Engineer I/II team members and guide best practices across projects.
