Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to optimize manufacturing capabilities, capital equipment, and processes. You will lead equipment design, coordinate with engineers, and improve safety, cost, and quality across the plant and production lines.

You will manage a team of 2–5 process engineers, drive continuous improvement using lean methods, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Relocation possible (company covers move).
• Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 12–15 years manufacturing experience and Black Belt/Six Sigma Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Apply lean manufacturing principles in operations, including layouts and process flows.
• Manage tooling, jigs, fixtures, and production machinery.
• Lead equipment design engineers and oversee outside contractors for fabrication.
• Drive safety, quality, cost, and production improvements through ME projects.
• Own capital projects including equipment budgeting and timelines.
• Evaluate manufacturability of designs and guide a make-versus-buy decision.
